Tree Plantation, Vishwakarma Puja and Diya-Lighting Activities Marked with Collective Participation.
Paradip, September 17, 2026: Paradip Port Authority (PPA) observed a series of activities comprising Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam, Vishwakarma Puja 2026 and Aashirwad Ka Diya with active participation of officers, employees and senior officials across the Port.
The programmes were organised under the overall leadership and guidance of Shri S. K. Purohit, IRSEE, Chairperson, Paradip Port Authority.
Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam at STP-3
On the occasion of the birthday of Shri Narendra Modi, Prime Minister of India, fruit-bearing saplings were planted at the STP-3 location of Paradip Port under the Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam initiative.
Shri T. Venu Gopal, Deputy Chairperson, Paradip Port Authority, along with Heads of Departments and senior officials, participated in the plantation drive, promoting greenery, sustainability and a healthier environment.
The initiative highlighted the importance of nurturing green spaces and strengthening environmental responsibility within the Port premises.
Vishwakarma Puja at Key Operational and Technical Facilities
Shri T. Venu Gopal, Deputy Chairperson, Paradip Port Authority, along with Heads of Departments and senior officials, visited various operational and technical facilities, including MCHP, KICT, IOHP and Loco Shed, and participated in the Vishwakarma Puja celebrations.
Vishwakarma Puja was also observed at designated puja locations associated with the Port Electrical Division (PED), Public Health Division (PHD), Engineering Department and Marine Department. Officers, employees and technical personnel participated in the traditional rituals and offered prayers for safety, smooth operations and the continued well-being of the Port community.

Aashirwad Ka Diya at PED Vishwakarma Puja Mandap
At the Port Electrical Division (PED) Vishwakarma Puja Mandap, the Aashirwad Ka Diya initiative was observed through the lighting of diya.
Shri T. Venu Gopal, Deputy Chairperson, along with Heads of Departments and senior officials, participated in the diya-lighting ceremony. Prayers and good wishes were offered for the long life, good health and well-being of Shri Narendra Modi, Honorable Prime Minister of India.
The diya-lighting ceremony added a spirit of goodwill, devotion and collective participation to the Vishwakarma Puja celebrations.
The observance of Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam, Vishwakarma Puja and Aashirwad Ka Diya reflected collective participation, environmental responsibility, traditional values and appreciation for the workforce. Paradip Port Authority continues to promote a safe, clean, green and responsible working environment across the Port.
